Woo Hoo, I was finally able to get to the QFTD challenge this week. I'm sorry former Queens. I will try to case one of your cards as soon as I can. Anne has selected hobbydujour, a/k/a Sallie, as QFTD! What a wonderful choice. Sallie, your gallery is AMAZING!!
Somehow, my card took somewhat of a turn from what I had originally planned on based on your beautiful card found here:
All I could think of is a large flower and some kind of lattice background. It all culminated in this card, although I think I veered too far away. My excuse is, that there's no way to capture the beauty of your card. Does that work?
One of the reasons I chose this card was b/c I bought a bunch of flowers on line that I thought were medium size and ended up with a bunch of HUGE flowers which I don't use that often. I've been waiting for a card that would allow me to start using up these monstrosities!! LOL!! I also just got the SU Lattice Die Cut, which I love, and the SU Pretty Pattern b/g stamp that I used for the b/g.
This ended up being a 5.5 x 5.5 card and I used dimensionals to pop up the first layer and the sentiment. The flower kind of popped up all on its own.
Anyway, CONGRATS Sallie, and wear your crown proudly.
Thanks for your visit and have a wonderful weekend. Who knows, you too could be QUEEEENN!!!

Pam, I think your card is wonderful! The same spirit just done in a different way! I had to chuckle with your story of ordering on-line and the BIG flowers. I guess it is one of the pitfalls of on-line ordering when measurements are not given(or we don't take the time to search them out) and receive something that is in a TOTALLY different scale than we anticipated! I've been there! Your flower worked out beautifully here. Thanks SO much for taking the time to CASE one of my cards! I truly appreciate it.

Pam, I LOVE that big flower and the lattice die cut is yummy. What a great card for Sallie. You are really rollin' out the cards since you are feeling better. Good to see it. This is truly a magnificent card.

Okay, Pamzi, I practically drooled on my keyboard when I saw this. I was workin' my way from back to front for comments on the Pnz Gallery, and I saw this sitting up top and thought 'Ooh, I can't wait to see who made that!'
It is totally beautiful, and I love how you used your lattice die. I'm always looking for ways to use that puppy.
Great job being inspired by our QFTD!
