Yes, it's that time again when we announce our 18th QFTD winner, but not before our precious little 83 year old drummer gives us her best Gene Krupa opening set. PLEASE OPEN LINK TO ENJOY OUR DRUMMER!!!!
Everyone, I'm so excited to tell you who our 18th Queen is today ~ none other than Sallie, aka hobbydujour~ Yes, Sallie, it's really you so c'mon down and let Bobby Barker place this gorgeous crown upon your head.
Everyone please excercise extreme caution: There are literally thousands of people here going every which way. Please dont knock over any of the CBS/NBC/ABC or Fox News crews filming this spectacular event. And dont let anyone rip those cards out of your hands as you run toward the stage to acknowledge a fellow stamper as our illustrious queen~
Congratulations, Sallie. It's your day. It belongs to you, so we all ask that you enjoy and savor the journey (as TexasGrammy would say)! I used your card ASIAN SCENE as my inspiration. Since everyone knows I cheat, I hope you can still see some semblance of your card in mine.
Thanks to Jovial Judi for this fabulous image from a set called 'Japenese Elements' from Invoke Arts. Judi, isnt this a fabulous image?
Thanks to Moonrise for the DCWV paper!
Hooray for Sallie!

Anne, I LOVE Sallie's work and what a great choice as QFTD!! Okay, be still my heart - Anne, this is SO, SO PERFECT I can't stand it. Your image is beautiful and your papers, ribbon and cording are over the top drop dead gorgeous!! Anne, as much as I like to give you a hard time, my hat is off to you. You are a very, very talented artist with your own flair. I especially LOVE your Asian creations. I will try, once again, to join in the challenge if I can. TFS!!!

Ohhhh, Anne, this is stunning! The colors are drop dead gorgeous and as always, your Asian cards are so beautiful! Great card and great choice for today's QFTD. I won't be able to play until the middle of next week. I'm off to CA to see my daughters! Have a great weekend!

This is beautiful, Anne! No one does the Asian-feeling cards as well as you! This card is no exception. You took my rather mundane, simple card and created something really stunning that has that serene Zen aura to it. Thank you!
