Today's card is for today's sketch challenge. I started looking through Mom's stamp sets and stumbled upon this stamp set. I wanted to make a card featuring them and some rhinestones I had just won at Chuck-E-Cheese. (It's an arcade with a restaurant, but it's mainly an arcade, for those of you who don't know.) Anyway, I started looking through Mom's paper scraps and found the leaf-patterned background panel and the other card stock scraps that I used in this card. To make the tree, I first stamped it in brown on the final piece. Then, on a separate piece of card stock, I stamped it again in green. Then I cut out the green tree's leaves and stuck it on top of the brown tree's leaves. Just before I was about to stick everything down, I realized that the orange panel looked plain, so I used Mom's Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to line up the owl stamp and spruce up the panel a little bit!! Then I stuck everything down and added the rhinestones as a final touch. I am really proud of this CAS card and I hope you like it too!!
Thanks for looking!!
Joanna

You did a fabulous job with this sketch, Joanna! Great earthy colors, cool owl, and lovely tree. I think that that little row of gems really makes your card. This is super! Your cards are getting better and better as you learn more and more.
Way to go, sweetheart!
Love you,
Mom
PS I'm so proud of you

Very good....it's great you're learning to work with the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig. I really should use it more. Nice rhinestones from Chuck-E-Cheese. Good work on your wonderful card.

That is a sweet stamp set, I always have wanted it - but I already have trees and a deer and owl, it's just the rabbit I don't have anything like. The owl on the strip is a great addition, the leafy paper is wonderful and lucky you winning the bling!
