This was a great challenge Joan set for us today, as it gave me an opportunity to use an idea I had last week. After seeing a couple of cards in the gallery I was inspired to emboss this Penny Black image with clear EP on white card and then sponge the background (Peeled Paint, Shabby Shutters, Stormy Sky, Dusty Concord). Then I took it further with Joan's challenge and embossed with the Floral Screen ef. Then I sponged over it with Faded Jeans on the blue and Forest Moss on the green. Cut and layered with oval and scalloped Nestabilities. I had a blue card base on the desk that was the right size to emboss with the same ef leaving just a narrow frame all the way round, to which I added stitching lines with a white pen. Sizzix leaves and a sentiment cut with the Word Window punch at the bottom, and a little butterfly coated with Stickles and 3 tiny pearls finish it off.
