This card has used some RAK's from Lovely Linda, my daughter, the image is from Layers of Color: http://www.layersofcolor.com/blog/
and also some leftover "bits and bob's" from past cards. I've done my usual colouring with chalks and watercolours, and used black and pink pearls to embellish with, and used a grey striped, and mulberry embossed DP. I wanted a layered effect with the oval shape of pattern and plain, and added some drama with Herringbone EF on grey striped CS, die cut flowers and black filligree edging. All shading is in black, and white glaze pen top stitching is on the Grey CS with pink pearls, and ornamental corners help give it balance. A little pink heart stick on has been added also. Card making is a big adventure for me...I don't always have a plan, and sometimes don't know where I'm going with them, but somehow at the end of the process is a card!
Thank you for all your kind comments and for supporting my gallery, and lovely to see new people coming on board

Oh Leslie this is one of my favorite cards that you have made. I love this shabby chic style. It makes me want to go stay at a Victoria Bed and Breakfast in down historic St. Augustine, Florida. I love to drive by all the Victoria Gingerbread houses (I call them that anyway because of the ornate trim) down there to see if I can see the pretty wall paper and lace curtains...lol The colors and embellishments on this is outstanding. Beautiful work. Thanks so much for playing along with us at the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge. It was fun to come to see what you created for us and what a great job you did with the sketch.

Hi Mum, it is late here but I could not finish off for the night until I had popped over to see you! Your card is fabullous Mum, your details are just gorgeous. I love the way you have coloured the Layers of Color flowers, they look real! All of the added touches take your card to another level Mum - you are quite amazing (of course I am unbiased! LOL!) The filagree on the side of your ribbon is lovely - what is that from!?!? Thanks for playing along with us at Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge, we hope to see you next week! {{{hugs}}}

Carol is right - it does remind me of a quaint bed and breakfast - or English Tea in pretty china. This is beautiful - I love your left side panels with the scroll work and your embossing.
