This card is for today's color challenge, CC278, to use the colors baja breeze, rich razzleberry, and so saffron. I wasn't sure if I liked this combo when I started, but by the time I was finished I loved it!
This is also for this week's StampinB challenge to make a card with a summer vacation theme. I really wanted to use one of my new Repeat Impressions rubber stamps today, and this kite stamp was perfect for this "summer vacation" theme: one of my dad's favorite things to do at the beach (on a summer vacation, of course) is to fly a kite!
I was also inspired to include a little pennant banner after seeing this photo of adorable polymer clay buttons in this week's EtsyInspired challenge: http://www.etsy.com/listing/44206454...e-polymer-clay
Little pennant banners are so hot right now for cards and scrapbook layouts. Wow, that was fun to create! I used little scraps of SU DP to cut out my pennant shapes, pierced the corners, and threaded them with a sewing needle onto a piece of thread. After getting them all laid out where I wanted them, I affixed them with small pop dots.

Emzi, this is just adorable! I love the pennant banner strung across the card. This looks like a card that took a bit of time to put together. That is a wonderful kite scene, also. Super card for summertime vacations and I do like those colors together.
