This is my card to honor last Friday's Queen For The Day, Dorothy (etsdas). Dorothy has so many beautiful cards in her gallery, it was hard to choose just one to CASE! And Dorothy is such a sweet person who always leaves enouraging comments for others.
I chose this beautiful card from Dorothy's gallery: Encouragement by etsdas at Splitcoaststampers
I kept the layout the same, focusing on the gorgeous background paper and diecuts, but I used a different patterned paper (still a floral), a different punched border and I added some vellum flowers. I also used both an image and sentiment as my main focal image.
This is also for yesterday's Technique Challenge - Paper Posies - to use handmade (not store-bought) paper flowers and for the Color Challenge on PaperCraft Planet (pcpcolor74) - pink, green and blue. I made my vellum flowers using Selma's tutorial here: http://selmasstampingcorner.blogspot...d-flowers.html
Excellent choice of Queen, Anne! Sorry I am so late with my card. Congratulations to you, Dorothy! I hope you've been enjoying your reign!

Thank you for your very kind comments. I appreciate your taking time to create this lovely card for this gallery - it certainly would never be late! This is such a lovely version of this card, with gorgeous DP - and decorated on the inside as well. I struggled with color challenges with these colors, but you certainly nailed it!

Whoa, Carla, I dont know what to say about this card ~ it is just so stunning with that paper, punches and image. You've really evolved into such a stellar artist and this card certainly suggests that's the case. Beautiful work, Carla.

What a stunning card - this looks like a peek into someone's garden, with the flowers dancing on the lattice work above my head! Great DP for your BG, and those blue flowers with the pearls are the absolute best! Super CASE of Dorothy's, and certainly a fitting tribute to such a wonderful stamper!!
