Omygosh - I'm in love with this Technique - Pounded Flowers. This is the first year I haven't planted flowers, so I've been procrastinating, but on my way home from school today I saw all kinds of weedy flowers on the side of the road - so I picked some, lol.
These flowers were red - and I don't know my flowers, but it was like little buds all the way up. I split apart the outer 'bell' of the blooms and opened them up and followed the Pounded Flowers - as per Joan Ervin's blog - I had a bit of trouble figuring out Spellbinders' instructions. No matter what color flower I used, tho - they all came out purply-blue. I added a bit of real red via aqua pen/reinkers to remind myself of the red flowers.
Once I was done, I had a very hard time embellishing cuz I loved how the watercolor turned out, so this ended up VERY simple - but I'm happy - what do you think?
Thanks for looking!

Wow, this is fabulous!! I have never even heard of this technique, so I am out in the garden later, looking for some flowers to try it out. I also looked at Joans blog site, very nice as well. Many thanks girls for sharing!!
