.....flower that is. Got to say, I was intrigued by the pounded flower technique. Just had to give it a try. I also used the colors from the CAS challenge......my card.....
Got a late start, had to order new parts for the computer. DS has this awesome friend who is so knowledgeable in computers. He is rebuilding mine since it died.
Anyway, I took two panels of w/c paper. Put a couple of trumpet vine flowers, which I have no shortage of, between them. Sandwiched this in the CB plates and rolled away. Smashed them suckers so much juice was running out. Didn't read the part about paper towels. hehe
Took one of the panels and colored it with re-inkers. layered it with black cs. Put it on a white card that I sponged the edges with pumpkin pie and then put on some Graphic 45 dp. This paper can make anything look good. Trust me.
Well, hope you like my smashed trumpet vine flower.....TFL :0)
Hi Sis! So far my week is going good other than the smoke alarm going off this morning at 5:00 am. Don't know why.

Gorgeous! LOVE how this turned out, and love the flowers in front of your card. I haven't seen buds on my trumpet vine yet... but when it blooms I'll have to try pounding a few of them.

My gosh, what a beauty! That trumpet vine looks like an awesome flower for this technique. Of course, you can make anything look good. That is a little scary about the smoke detector. Be careful!

WOW!!! I am going to have to try this technique. I do not have any flowers this year so I will have to ask my son if I can steal some from their beautiful backyard!! The trumpet vine!!! How cool that you took a tiny little snip from our Uncle's house and transplanted it in California. I love that vine!! The flowers are so beautiful and it attracts hummingbirds like crazy. Great card. luv the graphic 45 too!!! tfs.
hugs,

I am having such chuckles today at everyone's descriptions of squashing, smashing, smooshing, squishing and pounding of their poor flowers. Flowers are usually treated better here in the SCS galleries. I laughed out loud when you described the juice running - and no paper towel. But lookie-see at all that wonderful juice on your paper - it's wonderful! Great card Mutnik!!! Love it...
