Okay, have you ever had one of those mental blocks. Well, I had a huge one with this card. I created this card for this week's color challenge CC 276 Soft Appealing Amethyst. (I know the colors are not an exact, but it is the closest I can come up with.)
I started off with the image (this is my first try at the Black Magic technique). I stamped my image with SU whisper white pigment ink on black bazzill paper. I set that aside to dry. Once dry, I colored the image with watercolor pencils and then topped it off with white gel pen for highlight (in person it glistens). When I bought this image I loved it, but when I tried using it with just ink I could never get that "I love it" feeling. I do love it with the black magic technique. I think this is what it needed for it to just POP.
Now the hard part, once I stamped and colored my image - my brain quit functioning. I just could not figure out how I wanted to lay it out. Believe it or not, I went to bed and slept on it (not literally When I woke up this morning, gave it another shot, and this is what I came up with.
All-in-all, I am pretty happy with it. It is going to be for my niece's birthday. She loves all shades of purple - from the very lightest to the very darkest.
Sure appreciate your popping by and looking, and appreciate any comments too.
