Hi! This card was made for today's Sketch Challenge.
The images used on this card are all Sneak Peeks for July! They are Background Fun and Southwest Cowboy.
I'm still awake this late because I've been worried about my parents. Dad fell yesterday, in a grocery store and was taken to the hospital. There, they found he was really ill. Funny, I kept TELLING his doctor that it was NOT the flu...I guess, when I become a doctor, maybe she'll listen to me...grrrr...
I love the southwest. Pretty much anything but the SAND AND HEAT...(That reminds me of the BEACH! Oh, wait...I guess that means I love the romance of the southwest. I love the feeling of being FREE, don't you?)
I squished up the Hazelnut Tan back panel and then smoothed it out and rubbed my Adirondack Ginger Pad over the creases to get a faux leather look. Next, I tattered the edges by rubbing a butter knife back and forth. I sponged on Ginger around the edges. The blue and focal panel are from a Premium Paper Pack. I stamped the images on the blue panel in Ginger and tattered those edges. The focal panel was just one color. I used a sanding block to lighten areas. I stamped on the horse and cacti with Adirondack Pitch Black. I stamped in the texture background with Ginger.
Finished card size: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Faith! What a wonderful card!! Looks like you put all your energy into this one. It's fantastic. Worrying about parents can be so stressful. I hope and pray your Dad is doing well. Hugs!
