Hi! This card was made for today's Free 4 All Challenge: Man's Best Friend- use a pet on a Father's Day Card; yesterday's Ways to Use It Challenge: Ribbon; Speedy's Friends Challenge: Make your own DP; Treehouse stamps use your favorite tool-spellbinders!
The first thing that came to mind was to make a Speedy the Cat card for my husband for Father's Day. However, I already made his card, and besides, Tommie...oops, Tom Kat, was his Father's Day gift. And, we have a few jealousy "issues" with Speedy the Cat right now, over Tom Kat. So, no card with an animal for Mark. However, this set, "More of Speedy the Cat's Friends" has a Doberman who was inspired by my Aunt's dog who used to PUSH me out of the guest bed while visiting. I found out, later, that she did it to EVERYONE who slept in that bed! And, her GRAND-Daughter does the same thing today! So, I made this card for my Uncle! He'll get a kick out of it!
I ran that checked ribbon around to create a "frame" for the Ways to Use it Challenge.
The dp was pre-made, but I stamped on top of the printed area with a Sneak Peek background stamp! I love how it adds dimension. I also stamped the focal circle. The image was colored with Memento Markers. I had to highlight a few places with an Inkssentials pen to define the legs.
Finished card size: 5 1/4" square
Total time to create: 27 minutes
