Hi! This card was made for today's Color Combination Challenge: Red, light yellow and moss. I used Ripened Tomato Linen and a piece of Basic Grey Wisteria for my colors! Got to love those dp's for a close match! And, the yellow is a Copic Marker ala my airbrush! LOVE the different looks from the same marker! The background was REALLY easy to accomplish, as I just gave it a light coating! I sprayed the pear just a bit longer to get the deeper look to the yellow. Still a VERY light yellow, and I have achieved the same look using a sponge and ink pad.
This week has been very difficult for us. I'm dealing with menopause, and Markie is now on summer vacation. Mark and I have set up our home offices, too, so it's VERY busy in our SMALL home! And, sharing it with 6 cats and 4 dogs is not getting any easier on us. Yesterday, the POWER went off in 3 GRIDS in Jacksonville. Unfortunately, both our warehouse and our home were affected. We have generators for the warehouse, (hey, paper can WARP!), but they do not affect the shipping and offices, so we took EVERYONE to the movies...And, we dropped 10 animals off at the groomer's! He looked VERY panicked we we arrived with our furry friends, but then figured out how much money he was going to make. That look changed from fear to hysteria to greed pretty darn quick!LOL I think we added a WING to his house with that check I wrote! LOL
Our staff (21 of us all together), decided to see different movies, some saw slasher/gashers, some romance, but most of us went to see Sherk! It was sooooo funny! Anyway, after the movie we went back to the warehouse, but the power was still off...We decided to all go to the beach for a picnic! (Don't you wish you worked with us??? A full day's pay to PLAY! However, I stayed at the warehouse and worked a bit, by moving my laptop to the paper storage area, I was able to keep cool, and still get work finished! The power didn't come back on until after 9PM. It was a good day for me, I got my work done, and the people we work with had a GREAT day, too!) And, it was ALL Markie's idea!
