I spent a lot of time this week working on some invitations, so I took a little time tonight to combine a couple of challenges. The color challenge asks us to use Cameo Coral, Ruby Red and Tempting Turquoise. I reached for a new set from Mark's Finest Papers, which I won from Faith in a blog contest- yea! I use copics that matched the colors to color the poppies. I used the Turquoise to create some scalloped clouds. I distressed the oval using Creamy Caramel. When I saw this week's sketch, I immediately thought of making it a pocket card, so my photo shows the card with the inside panel slightly out. In the end, this sketch isn't as scary as it looks. I put a few gold stick on brads to embellish.

what a beauty! I love all the depth and your coloring is fabulous, Kathy. The bit of black sets it all off and the hummer makes me want to find out whats behind. Very nicely done...and I see we're neighbors for the ticker tape today.
