I took a dive into the digital world and printed the Hero Arts Digital Flutterbies onto an inkjet transparency. Next, I cut out the image and sprayed the inked/rough side with Sunflower Glimmer mist. You can see a couple of small spots where I got impatient and tried to dab a few spots dry, and it lifted the inkjet ink a bit, however with this antique-looking image, I actually liked the effect. I backed the butterfly with ivory cardstock to bring out the golden shimmer & attached it with glue dots along the body to add some dimension to the wings.
My card is a circle cut from Basic Grey June Bug DP. The sentiment is a combination of several rub-ons. I cut each word apart and applied it one word at a time to shape it around the edge of the circle.
This card is for my Visiting Designer gig at the Gingersnap Blog (supply challenge Transparencies) and the Etsy Inspired challenge.
