I just finished this card and noticed my favorite stamp company is having a challenge/contest to make a Birthday Card. Though this is not Technically a "Birthday" card, it is a card to celebrate a birth So I am going to enter it, hoping it's ok
My friend had told me I need to find a stamp that I could be use for baby boy cards. I really struggled to find one, and just when I had given up, I happened to go into my local Michael's craft store and BAM! I saw this tiger, a lion, and a cute elephant stamp on clearance for $1 each and I knew I had found my baby boy stamps
I used My Mind's Eye paper, Nestabilities Circles and Scallops, and the stamps are from Imaginiscence (sp?), I think. And I painted them in with my Distress inks. I cut all three out with my craft knife and "popped" them up with my pop dots so there would be some dimention. The circles underneigth are also popped up for some dimention as well. It doesn't make it stick out very far, so it looks 3D with out feeling like a giant tiger leaping out at you (does all that make sense? LOL
I love how this card turned out so much, that I am in the process of making another card with my new elephant stamp I think this is one of my favorite cards that I have made to date, because it's fun, has great clean lines, and it's cute without being too cutesy ;)
