For the 2nd VSN challenge of the day - put a hand made flower on your card.
I saw this little tutorial on youtube a week or so back and have been wanting to try it, so this seemed like the perfect challenge. The card is an absolute CASE of the card in the video, which can be found here (Thanks Tami):
Of course, we don't have the embossing folder in Australia yet, so I cheated a bit. I punched out some flowers using the Spring Bouquet punch and adhered them to my cardstock before running it through my Big Shot a couple of times to press them down. I also didn't use a page from a book - instead I used some DSP and stamped French Script onto it, crumpled it and sponged it to give it that aged look. I also put the main piece onto my base on a bit of an angle for a bit of something different.
As for the flower, I made mine using 6 punched Scallop Circles. I cut 3 of them at every two scallops and 3 at every one scallop. I put the two pronged scallops on the base and the one pronged scallops on the top then crumpled them all up. No water used on this one.
Well, I would love to know what you think.
TFL.
