This is my 3-D piece for the Stampin Up Artisan Award Contest. We had to make 2 3-D projects, 5 cards and 3 scrapbook pages. I did not win so I am posting my projects since I spent a ton of time on them and want someone to see them!! =)
This is my Ispiration Totem. It is 5 blocks and each side says something different: LOVE LAUGH DREAM HOPE
There is too much going on on all the sides to tell everything but the basics are:
I used SU Kaleidoscope DSP, along with Pumpkin Pie, Summer Sun, Tempting Turquoise and Pixie Pink cardstock (plus a few others like gable green and pink passion).
Butterfly embosslit was used to create the butterflies all over the project. Some butterflies have Beads Duo beads as their bodies, along with wire to create the antennas also.
Flower Punches like Boho Blossom & Hearts Trio were used to create the flowers and I used many accessories, such as crystal effects, dazzling diamonds, buttons, ribbon, etc.
LOVE, HOPE, LAUGH & DREAM is made with the Serif Essentials alphabet using textured cardstock stamped with the Fine Flourish individual stamp, sponge daubers and ink to ink the edges of each letter and popped up with dimensionals.
Each square is actually 2 pieces of Kaleidoscope DSP, the top layer a 1/4" smaller than the bottom layer. They are sewn together and glued onto the block.
The top is the "handle" of the piece so you can pick it up. It is made up of 4 butterflies that are glued together. They sit around a small hook that was screwed into the top and has a piece of 1/4" grosgrain pumpkin pie ribbon to create "antennas" which is really the loop you can pick the piece up by.
