A few years ago, I announced that I wanted to collect blue birds. Not blue jays..blue birds. (I do think there is a difference!) But my collection was pretty stagnant. This year for Mother's Day, my 9 year old DD thoughtfully found a Blue Bird for my blue bird collection. By far, it was the best Mother's Day Gift I have ever received. She had thought it out and thought of what *I* would enjoy. What a gem of a girl!!
Or should I say "Tweet Girl!"
I used two birds from Starving Artistamps. They were paper pieced for this fresh colored card.

Such cute birds, such a great idea for the challenge, too. I'd have thought there was a big difference between blue jays, quite specific, and blue birds, more generic. Every time I get a new computer I jump through hoops trying to find a little bluebird clipart that I often use for my return address labels.

You gotta know that I love blue birds myself, if not for the bird, the colour, it's my favourite colour did you know...lol
This is such a sweet little card indeed, and I'm glad your dd listened when you voiced your wish for a collection. Cool challenge, will have to see what I collect that is non-stamping. Promises to be fun! TFS Dawn.
