For this challenge, we were to use one of the Techniques from the Resource page above ... I chose the Grid Technique. I've done it w/clear embossing over a brass stencil to create a tile look but this is SO much quicker, and just as beautiful.
I used my ScorPal to create a grid on some whisper white cardstock. I then stamped up a Cornish Heritage Farm background stamp in creamy caramel, laid the white c/s face down and 'walked' my fingers over the image to get a sporadic stamped effect. Flipping this back over, colored side up, I stamped the floral image in chocolate chip, not pressing too hard so the 'grout' lines would stay clean. I wanted a little more color to the panel, so I lightly sponged some saffron in the negative areas. I matted on caramel & attached copper brads.
The base is caramel with choc chip mat & some dp from Basic Grey's Capella pack #LOVE that dp!#. I attached a gold satin ribbon around the base layer and punched a slot in the image panel to thread the ribbon through before tying in a bow.
Remember - Use any item you've received via the Wish RAK system - it can be anything from images, papers, embellishments, ribbon - whatever you've been 'gifted' with.
Don't forget - this time all challenges will be posted on Friday evening and you'll have a week to post them in the gallery. Cards must be mailed by the 3rd week in June!
Have a blast - and remember, these are for a wonderful cause - Supplying our deployed troops with a supply of cards they can send home to their family and friends!
Thanks for looking !
