Hi! I made this card for today's CAS challenge: shabby chic!
Whenever I think of shabby chic, I think of distressing, antiques and romance. Romance makes me think of magic, and magic makes me think of fairies (as you can see, I have a convoluted mind!)
I cut out this fairy image (yes, she has wings!) from a sheet of stickers that I had, sanded it and distressed the edges with my distressing tool. I then mounted it on cs and edged it with burnt umber.
I then ran a piece of cs through my big shot using a cuttlebug ef, lightly "fingered" brown distressing powder over it and ran a ribbon around it. After I tied my ribbon, I tried to fray the edges; most of the time I have no problem with this~ it happens whenever I want a clean edge! But this time I couldn't get it to fray using my fingernails or a scissors; I had to use my distressing tool to fray it!! Well, whatever works, huh?
Finally, I stamped the word magical on a scrap piece of cs, punched it out with my oval punch, and attached it with SU! dimensionals.
TFL and have a magical day!

Love your card, Gail! Your girl has a "Rubenesque" quality which is so rich looking with the ivory bg. Great job on the challenge....you did it SO well!
