I'd like to pat myself on the back for being so EARLY for Father's Day, but there's a trade off!!! I am LATE for last weeks Queen aka Allee's. However, like Debzi333 said, Lynn is a fabulous encourager and she was also one of the first and definitely the longest standing sweetheart to offer her many warm words in my gallery. Now, onto this adorable creation!! Long before punch art was all the rage and long before the plethora (n. the state of being too full; overabundance) of tools that are now available to us came along, back in March of 2007 in her abundant gallery, Lynn participated in a WT challenge to use punches and came up with these incredibly creative and sweet oval punch mice: allee's WT106#2 by allee's at Splitcoaststampers. Who can RESIST such sweetness. I found my CASE for a QUEEN!! So, with many more tool of the trade on hand, I set to work to honor m'lady. My little guys use the same large SU oval punch; the ears are made from nesties smallest oval and the pink is a tracing of the smaller oval opening in that smallest nestie. I used natural crochet cotton run through Ranger distress ink in "old paper" glued on little eyes and punched their pink noses from the largest circle in my cropodile. Their little feet are a clipping from the SU daisy punch. I cut a sliver of coordinating cardstock for their tails and wrapped it around my stylus like a corkscrew and then stretched it out. Those great little apple/cherry blossom came from my shopping spree in Buffalo at Buffalo Stamps n Stuff. For the little mouse on my envie, I used the small SU oval punch and cut across two petals on a buff hydrangea prima, then sponged in the pink and brown. My sentiment was computer generated and I put it on a white scallop to simulate a cloud. This also fits the inspiration challenge and the photo found here: http://twolumpsofsugar.net/ in the potholders and oven mitts section. Greenery, lattice (pickets work for that cottage garden feel) and pink and white blossoms along with some fresh sky blue. The only thing missing is mice, but there sure to show up soon to check out those cupcakes!!!
