Julia challenged us to use a distressing tool, so I combined this with Mercy Kerin's Tuesday Sketch Challenge. I stamped one of my new Hero Arts vine scroll BG panels in black on distressed red DP. I distressed the panel edges and sponged with black ink. I then layered it on a coordinating DP panel. I had this layered daisy left over from a previous project, so added that for the circle element. I'm really trying to dig into my surplus stash and use things up rather than watch the scrap pile get higher - lol!

How great! I LOVE the black/dark shading on the outer petals of your flower....makes it so dramatic! Looks like you have a scrap pile filled with lots of good-looking papers!!

This is beautiful Wanda.. I love the way you distressed. It really draws your eye inward.. Great paper.. I challenged myself to do the same thing this year and I am down about a 1/4 from what I had on Jan 1st. It is such a great feeling. Super job..
