At the Buffalo Spring Fest on May 1, one of the shoebox projects at tmy table was this cool technique, of using a slit punch along the edge of the paper to make a border. Working from the middle, punch with the slit punch along the edge making each punch apart from the next. When the whole front edge is done, fold the edge toward the inside. Insert a contrasting color strip between the folded part and adhere. Adhere a strip of co-ordinating paper along the edge of the inside. I think it is very cool! The stamp is a Bella, which I bought to use for my daughter, as she is a big bicycle enthusiast.

What a great effect using the slit punch, I am going to have to give that a try. I love this site as everyone is so happy to share new techniques and ideas.

This one caught my eye. I love Bellas and love bicycles so now I have to buy this image, thanks for enabling. Your card is awesome especially the neat border. Thanks for the details of how to recreate that.
