The sister-in-law of my stamp club teacher passed away last week, so I'm sending this card to her MIL. Her MIL joins us in our stamp group and I feel so badly for the whole family.
I made a basic square card with square panels. I decided to put just a hint of pink matting on the card to help make it a bit uplifting. For some reason, it just looked too dark for this one. I have made all b/w sympathy cards before, but something kept telling me to add just a dash of pink, so I did.
I sprinkled just a hint of dazzling diamonds above some of the wet embossed daisies, dry embossed the white panel and placed a small black rhinestone in the center of the embossed flower. I stamped tissue paper with the SU Toile b/g stamp, then punched out out 5 or 6 of them, scrunched them, then layered them on top of the black flower punch. I then placed rhinestone brad in the center.
I popped up the first mat and pink mat on dimensionals. I used a teeny tiny black and white polka dot ribbon I received in a RAK from Anne Ryan and that about did it.
Thanks SO much for taking the time to look and enjoy your weekend!

Pamzi, I like the pink with your black and white...a lot. And, girly, you did big with that tissue flower. I like that you stamped the tissue first. So pretty!!! I'm a polka dot fan so I really love the ribbon Anne sent you and that wrapped it up so pretty. Sad that you need a sympathy but this is sure to be so appreciated and bring comfort.

Very special card indeed. It's always so sad to have to make a sympathy card, Fruitcake. The hint of pink is fabulous. Beautifully crafted. Apparently, you craft cards a lot better than you read emails!

Princess Pamzi - this is wonderful! I hate you had to make another sympathy card but it is beautiful. How creative you were with that tissue paper flower - it came out awesome! Great job and TFS!
