Today's QFTD is Allee's!! Couldn't be a better gallery to choose from. I have admired Lynn's work since I've been on SCS. It is all beautiful! She does a lot of tulips which is my favorite flower, but I just didn't have time to color mine today. I am in need of some masculine cards so I chose to case this one. allee's SC76 by allee's at Splitcoaststampers
I kept the layout but put my sentiment at the top and didn't seperate my dp as she did with the hemp. I also reversed sides.
I have a different image, dp, and sentiment.
I used a SU scallop circle punch for the bottom layer on the sentiment and thought it was a little too feminine for a masculine so I trimmed the scallops and thought it looked more like a cogwheel. I guess that is manly. LOL
My image and double-sided dp came from a RAK from Moonrise.
Thanks, Deena! I love it.
Enjoy your day, Lynn. It is well deserved!!! Sorry, for some reason, I can't get the link to work to show which card I cased. Maybe it will work later.

This card is just striking --- and a wonderful way to make a masculine card with some fun embellishments. It is a very manly flower! I might have to copy your idea, thanks for the inspiration.

Great guy card! Love the brown tones and that tree image. Thought for a moment I had to buy a new punch, but after reading your description, I realize I just have to get out the scissors! Too cool... love it.

Majestic tree??? *I'll* say!!! That is one KNOCKOUT of a gorgeous card, Benzi. One of the best masculine cards I've seen in a long time!!! Lucky you for receiving such wonderful goodies in that RAK from Moonrise. And what a great tribute card for Lynn (allee's). Doesn't she do the yummiest work?? Wonderful job!!

...this is just perfect....love the clean, strong earthy lines you've created. Trimming the scallops was a brilliant idea...I bet we start seeing this showing up in the gallery!!! Also love the brad/button.

Just gorgeous. I wish I'd had it last night when I needed a masculine card for our neighbor's BD. I had to give him a tiny little card and it still had a flower on it:/ Oh well, it is the thought! Anyhow, I love your card.

Wow! You sure put Sweet Deena's gift to use well! IT is dramatic! Brown is my favorite color, and the matching of the DP with that fabulous tag is wonderful! Love it!
