Julia's challenge today was to use pins of any sort on our card. Well, I know I used to have some cute little coloured safety pins, but I have a feeling the reason I couldn't find them is because I passed them on to someone else, after never having used even one in 5 years.
Still, my sister gave me a lovely new sewing box for my birthday last week, so I knew where to find my regular safety pins instantly, and this card will do very nicely as a thank-you to her.
5 3/4" square base.
Brown Basic Grey solid colour stitched to pink Bazzill Bling base. The two patterned papers are Cosmo Cricket Honey Pie, both with added stitching. For the main panel I stamped more Basic Grey with Canvas in Walnut Stain distress ink, and distressed and sponged the edges. Stitched on a button, added some flatback embellishments. The computer-generated sentiment was cut with Spellbinders Tags Trio, and pinned to a scrap of measuring-tape twill ribbon. I added a couple of layered Primas under the sentiment as it looked a bit bare, and curled back the bottom left corner. Yesterday's sketch from Roxie, just to make life easy.

My mom was just here and I was showing her your gorgeous gallery. We think you artists should have a special gallery! We were laughing about your stuff next to some of my silly stuff! Anyway, I am going to email this card to my mom, she left about 15 minutes before you posted this. This is fantastic and she will love it. She owns a sewing company!
