Time for another CCEE challenge, and this week Frances, aka StampOwl, has challenged us to make a Mother's Day card! You can get the details and see my friend's projects on the CCEE blog:
This is also for this week's Technique Challenge by Toy to use embossed vellum in our design. I heat embossed my tulip images with the Sapphire embossing powder on vellum cardstock. I then used my blender pen to paint in Broken China Distress Ink. I let that dry and then used my Stampin' Up Metallic pencils to add a touch of purple to the base of the tulips and to color the stems. The leaves were stamped in Broken China and colored and blended with a metallic pencil as well. I added Crystal Effects for the dew drops on my tulips.
I used Stampin' Up's metallic pencils to color my butterfly.
TFL! Here's a link to my blog, if you want to see a close up of the tulips:

Ohh my Charlene!! What a lovely card!! I do have a passion for blue flowers! Now, Charlene, I'm not certain that tulips come in blue - but these days you can always spray them with smooch, or spray paint!
Lovely card - the butterfly is a lovely touch - as is that fabulous picket fence punch!
