I made this card as one of the ten for the month of April for SCS' CCC10 challenge using a sketch provided by Claire Brennan of Waltzingmouse Stamps. I decided I wanted to sewing around the edge of the card to mimic the sewed look of the images, then I matted this onto a white card base so the images would stand out. (I don't recall the exact name of the stitch, but I am sure some embroiderers out there can fill me in). I stamped the center image twice - once with white craft ink onto red cardstock and once with red ink onto white cardstock. Then I cut out both snowmen images and layered the white one on top of the red one with dimensionals. I stamped his littletwig arms and stamped the sentiment onto vellum cut in the shape of a banner - like he is holding up a little sign. The snowflakes are also popped up as well.
Thank you for taking the time to look at my card. I hope you like it.

Meredith, this is outstanding!! I just love all of the stitching on this card, both your hand stitching and that in the adorable stamped images. What a super holiday card!! I've always called that stitch you used along the edge a blanket stitch, but I don't know if that is its "official" name. Whatever you call it, it looks stunning on this fun card!!
