I made this for today's sketch and yesterday's color challenges.
My little frog was stamped and colored with markers and I used a label die to cut it out. I left the die in place and sponged on the yellow and blue inks. The frog was actually stamped twice and I cut him out and attached him on top of the base image. That wasn't the original plan, but I didn't like the background on the first one so I saved the frog by cutting him out and redoing the background.
The olive and blue panels were also die cut. I left the dies in place, spritzed them with water and embossed them again with a piece of vinyl mesh on top. I love the texture it gives to plain card stock. On the blue panels, I stamped the little 3 leaf background on top w/ blue ink. I used rectangle dies on the textured yellow card stock and I used part of a large label die on the right side of the big yellow panel. The blue dots were added with a marker. I used a smaller label die to cut out the sentiment, sponged as before, then split it in two. It's all attached to a 5.5 x 4.25 (A2) white card.

This is a really cute card. the mesh idea is great. I love all the textures and die cuts along with the adorable main panel. The song that is now stuck in my head isn't bad either!

Ooo, a stunner! Love how you used label dies for the panels and sentiments, and that embossed mesh idea is fantastic! Would never have thought of that. TFS!

Hilarious frog - perfect for singing bass. And I love that mesh texture, I'll have to try that! Been there, done that with the cutting out to rescue approach ;-).

Julie, this is so adorable and fabulously done. Did you emboss with the vinyl mesh? Trying to figure out how you got the waffle weave look on the panels. Fantastic card!
This is so fun to look at and so much to look at! I love all the texture you've created and I'm so glad you shared how you achieved it This is an adorable card with gorgeous watercoloring!! tfs
