Today we were to "ramp it up". In other words, take something we had made before and either add more or remove some. I chose this matchbook candy holder........details.....
I am adding to this matchbook cover by actually finishing it from front to back, inside and out. My first one was only done on the front.
You see, my darling daughter is getting married in May. I showed her one of these and she fell in love with them. So, I get to make 50 plus more of them.
You know the hardest part of this whole project is not eating the candy I am putting inside! hehe
I ordered the black and green glossy cs on line, she ordered the stickers with her and his name and the date on it. I took the picture, sized it down, printed one page with eight on it then went to Staples and had the rest printed out on glossy cs. Cut each picture out, layered with black cs then cut around @ with deckle scissors.
I found this stamp with the rings and sentiment. Stamped on each black piece with Whisper white, clear eb'ing.
Cut, scored all my black and green pieces. Put them together. Punched two holes and put silver eyelets in then adding the ribbon, and tying a bow. No easy bow maker here! hehe Then added the picture and candy inside.
Well, I have a lot more to make. Hope you like these. They look really cool IRL. So glad it was a challenge one day. Way cool idea.......TFL :0)
