Julia, this WT was so inspiring to me! I have been 'sitting' on this project for three weeks, with a May 1 deadline to make a thank you card for a teacher, using the quilt my friend Christine made for Mrs. Krause as my model. The fabric is wonderful batik and has hearts all over it. Her work is fabulous! (And I told Chris that the teacher may hang onto her son another year, just to keep her!)
Chris gave me scraps from her quilt and I adhered them to a sheet that was way too sticky for my sewing machine to cooperate, so I just ran it thru without thread to get the paper piecing. I used the Eraser Dust font in Word and printed the teacher's name on DP that had stitch lines. Inside is from a RAK image and reads "Thanks sew much!".
Done. Whew! Thanks for a fun challenge and thanks for looking!

This is so pretty and what a creative idea for the teacher. So that is actual material on the card???? Now that is genius! Very thoughtful and I am sure the teacher will love it.
