WT167 George and his dragon

My DD received a party invitation a few days ago to a boy's 7th birthday party which was held yesterday (Sat) afternoon. Eek - not much notice and not much time to make a card because I had lots of running around to do during the week but I managed to squeeze the card in somehow.

I also made this for the Something Completely Different Challenge Blog of "D". Stop by my blog to hear all about the Challenge deets.

I'm also popping this card into the SCS "Ways to use it Challenge" WT167 of Masculine. See this link for the deets: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/fo...d.php?t=349838

The CB'ing was done with my Quickutz Diamond and Dots ef, then I lightly sanded the embossing. The image was coloured with Gamsol and Prismacolor pencils then I lightly chalked around the image with my Kaisercolour chalks. I used my Kaszazz distressing rubber stamps with my Hero Arts 'Soft Sand' Shadow ink around the edges of the image, the sentiment and the designer paper, then grabbed my seasponge and smooched the same ink around the edges of each layer on the card. This ink gives a lovely, subtle effect.

The sentiment was stamped with Burnt Sienna ink and was popped up on 2mm mounts (dimensionals). The ribbon was made in 2 separate elements 'cos I like neat ribbons on my cards!

Come say Hi at my Blog: http://instead-of-ironing.blogspot.com/

Thanks for having a peek at my card!

I love this! The colours are wonderful, and I love how you've coloured George and his tamed dragon! It's St George's Day on 23rd for us Brits, so this would be a perfect card for that!
