The Iris is stamped on white cardstock with Versafine Majestic Blue and heat embossed with Stardust EP. I then used a Nestabilities rectangle to cut out the image and sponged the edges with the Majestic Blue and Adirondack Sail Boat Blue. The stems are colored with Peacock Blue Prismacolor Pencil. I added some more sparkle to the image with shimmer spray.
I used the same Nestabilities rectangle to cut out the square in the white cardstock layer, and stamped the sentiment with SU's Pacific Point ink, centered under the opening. Then I ran it through my Big Kick using SU's Perfect Details Texturz Plate, spraying with alcohol first. It's pretty amazing how that really does make the Texturz plate embossing much more pronounced. I dressed up the white layer a little more with SU's Scallop Trim Corner punch.
The white embossed layer is adhered first onto the Pacific Point card base, then the Iris inside the opening. The image layer just needed a teensy trim on two sides.
This is a very flat card for mailing, but the embossing, corner punch, sparkle and shimmer (which the photo unfortunately does not show) help to compensate for the lack of embellishments.

talk about enabling! I need that texture plate! This is gorgeous Linda. I love the monochromatic effect (Pacific point is one of my faves) and this card needs no more embellishing.
