this is for the MFT April Guest DT Challenge to make a masculine card and use metal. I think a women making a pie for her man can be used on a card for a male type person (that and the fact that I'm on vacation and only have a couple stamps with me to choose from)
I opted for paisley dp which I love in men's ties and darker colors. Not sure if a man would pick this butI would give it to one.
I paper pieced the dress and apron, colored the rest with Prismacolor pencils (no copics here either), I used a ruler to draw the lines on her apron and put a little design on the bowl (I like a fancy bowl) and of course she has to have a strand of pearls (have you seen "Julie and Julia", you must, it's sweet and cute and funny).
I finished the inside which should be posted right next to this, and I put some 'glitzy glitter on the cupcake. I left off a sentiment because I forgot my mounting blocks and had to use my camera to hold the stamps, I'd have taken a picture but you can see where the dilemna is. When you use a camera for a mounting block you lose the "clear" advantage, so when I can see again, maybe I'll put a sentinment in there, getting the cupcake in the right spot was hard enough.
Do I get extra points for working under duress? Didn't think so but had to ask.

Amazing Chris! I love this card, the paper is gorgeous and I love all the texture you were able to add. The pearls are perfect! LOL I can't believe that you used a camera as a mounting block! That's why we love you girl! LOL Good Luck in the contest!
