I love challenges that push me creatively! This month the MFT guest challenge was to create a manly card with metallic. I love MFT's robot line, so that started my inspiration. Since this card has some "heavy metal" embellishments, I used a full 12 12 sheet of Kraft paper folded and glued with Scor-tape, to accommodate the weight. I used part of a circuit board from an old computer for one of my mats. I saved 4 small screws from the mother board and attached them to my 4 corners, by gluing them in a hole, and popping that layer up with dimensionals. I ran thin metal through my cuttlebug using the diamond plate folder, and then distressed it with staz-on ink. The gears were stamped and embossed then cut out. I stitched with silver thread around the dp paper. Then I cut one layer from corrugated cardboard, that I sprayed with black gold glimmer mist. I didn't want it to be so high, so I ran it through the cuttlebug to smoosh it down. My robots were colored with copics and copic spicas. For the inside, I cut a window through one of the layers of cardstock with spellbinders, and glued a piece of metal between the layers. I stamped on the sentiment in staz-on ink, and in the red, used versamark and red embossing powder. I oversprayed with glimmer mist in the black gold again, using glimmer screens as a resist and as a stamp. Thanks for such a fun challenge!

Wowza!!! Love the computer board - I have a few I have been hoarding (alas not robot stamps in my stash - yet)
I do have a backrounder of a circuit board that I will use when I get some Bots. Great idea - great card!!!!!
