This is my second try at the Inspiration Challenge. That Hat site was amazing! I saw a hat: http://www.williamchambers.co.uk/AW0...lcapflower.htm
I thought I could make a card with that idea, so here it is.
I used a flower method from Mel's Stampin site: http://melstampz.blogspot.com/
where I punched eight scallop punches and then drew around the edges with a black sharpie and then wet the cardstock with Pearl Mist to dampen and glisten, and crumple tightly. When dry, you open them then layer eight scallops and pierce through for a brad to fasten, then open the flowers. Just before I put the brad through, I places the red fabric thread through the brad then fastened the brad to hold the flowers. I used a Sizzix embossing folder for the background, and the same set for the sentiment-where I inked inside the sentiment folder first to get the red to show--like a reverse emboss.
I used Nesties scallop circles, a few embellishments and some ribbon underneath the flowers.
This was fun!
