Wow, that was ALOT of steps to finish this card. I was inspired by a piece of art hanging on the wall at a hospital. The whole picture was layered and laquered. I thought that might be a fun technique to try on a card...and it was fun! I stamped the leaves from SU Fantastic Foliage, cut out, sponged and used two coats of embossing enamel. Then cut out the die in the bottom left corner with Spellbinders, sponged and enameled with two coats. Then stamped the background, stitched the edges and then sponged. I then used two coats of the embossing enamel. THEN I adhered the leaves and die cut onto the background and did another coat of embossing enamel. Cut another layer with deckel scissors and adhered the outer layer. Wound string around these two layers, added brads to the corner and then adhered all this to the back layer. I thought I was done and put away supplies but then saw today's challenge to finish the inside. Decided I may as well drag everything back out and work on the inside. This also works for the fan club challenge of "All Creatures Great and Small" . TFL and have a great day.

LOL, your mention of the hospital reminded of DH getting a test done a couple years ago and I walked around drawing sketches of the artwork and cards in the gift shop.
This is fantastic, if the artwork on the wall was better than this, it sure was something...love the leaves and metal look you achieved with the die and that distressing ink and tool is just the icing on the cupcake and stitching is the cherry on top! Great work!
