A little late, but I'm playing catch up so I'm combining Friday's F4A5 and Saturday's IC225 challenges. For the F4A5 challenge, we were to create a non standard (A2) size card based on a musical. I chose a poster from The Light in the Plaza(sorry, the link won't take you directly to the poster. I tried, but this site is a little squirrely.) Although I haven't seen the musical, I liked the poster.
For the IC challenge, I chose Lavender Cologne for the colors and floral image.
I didn't have any of the wonderful lavender color, so I used ballet blue with the barely banana. It looks more on the lavender side but it's hard to photograph. It always wants to look more blue. The violets were stamped with yellow ochre chalk ink and the greeting was over stamped with cobalt ink.
Since the F4A5 challenge was musical, I thought this verse would fit perfectly. I added the piercing and faux stitching. The blue layer was punched and all the layers were lightly sponged around the edges. A bow, a punched butterfly and some faux pearls were added to the 5 x 5 card.
Thanks so much for looking! My blog:The Write Stuff. Sorry! I had to delete a bunch of really old posts from my blog & this is one of them.
