This is my card for TLC265 which was to come up with some Childhood Memories and make a card.
I have lots of them, but some of the first are of Mom playing the piano, so that's my background.
When I was very small my dad was told we would have to move from the little cabin on the lake, so he took the $500 in his pocket and bought the first piece of land he laid eyes on. At least that was how Mom remembered it.
It was a half acre on the side of a steep hill with roads on two sides. The corner farthest down the hill and where the roads met had long rows of lilacs in either direction. One white bush and all the rest beautiful purple. In Spring they bloomed and you could swear they smelled up the whole countryside. The butterflies came to check them out.
Mom loved them as they gave us privacy from the roads. They were wonderful when they were all in bloom and we always had bouquets. Mom said it was good to pick them as then they didn't go to seed. We did. I managed to get both a white and a purple bush when we sold the house and have them in my yard.
The lace and buttons are just more memories of Mom. If she had a million buttons, I think I have three million.
Music bg and butterfly are Victorine Originals and lilacs are PSX. tfl

What a bunch of beautiful memories. Smells and sounds have great power to bring back memories. It's nice that you have the memory of your mom playing the piano. I love the thought of the purple and white lilacs. they do smell heavenly and they look beautiful on your card. I love the lace and buttons too. I remember looking at all of the buttons in my mother's sewing box.
