My 11 YO daughter Joanna and I spent our Friday night stamping for our girls' night in (while the guys were at Cub Scouts). We were on a mission to make more Easter cards to send to our far-flung extended family. We made several different versions of this CAS card, but decided that this one was the one we liked best!!
Joanna stamped the Easter eggs, I cut them out. She decided how to lay them out, I stuck them down. I made the score lines on the white base, while she applied adhesive to the rick rack. I stamped the inside sentiment while she stamped the envelope and a decoration on the back so we could initial and date our creation. It was a real team effort!! We had a lot of fun :)
The egg image stamp was from the Michael's $1 bin. It is really cool! We tried heat embossing a few for a different card, so Joanna got to learn a new technique. Unfortunately, my choices for heat embossing are limited and it didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped: we used white pigment ink with clear EP. It didn't show up very well against the pastel papers we used. Next time we try it, I think we'll use metallic gold ink instead.
Thanks for looking!

I can't believe you cut these out Emily - they look like they have been cut out with with dies or punched! I am glad you and Joanna had a fun girls night making cards together. That is so cool, wish I had memories like that of me and my Mom.
Emily, it looks and sounds like your ladies night was a complete creative success!!! I'd say Joanna is a natural - like her Mom!!! Beautiful beautiful cards to share with family and beautiful memory to share with DD! :)
