This card was made for QFTD01 in honor of our one and only Mutnik! Since I am late, I think I'll call this Queen for a Week instead of Queen for a Day- she certainly deserves a whole week to be Queen. Her gallery is amazing.
As I made this card, I did a lot of thinking about Mutnik, aka Cathy. I simply adore Cathy for a lot of reasons. To name a few: she is always generous with kind and encouraging comments; she loves her sister and never fails to say "Hi" at the end of her descriptions; her artwork shows an inner beauty; and she ALWAYS makes me smile! Her colors are bright and happy and she draws the most amazing scenes. Her imagination and creativity knows no bounds, which I admire greatly!
About my card: I cased this one mainly, although I really used many of her cards as influence: LSC216 - ....got a sun stuck on my shoulder... by Mutnik at Splitcoaststampers
The shades have crystal effects on them and red stickles on the frame. I doodled the hills and colored them with copics. I love Cathy's "Mutnik black squares" and have been wanting to make my own stamp like she did. I'm not quite sure how to do that, so I just drew in my very imperfect black squares. It works for me because it adds to the whimsical effect which is so like Cathy's work!
Well Cathy, I hope you like my attempt to case your amazing gallery. It will be in the mail soon!

Yikes, Anne, will you just look at this card and so amazingly done in russian spy's signature style. Ah ha, so there's another stamper out there can create a mutnik card! I'm totally impressed since this russian spy makes card unlike everyone elses. Girl, you done good, that's what you did with this one. It's so mutnik with her fancy checked borders and this is definitely a rosco lookalike of her real dog. Oh, I wish I could see her face when she sees what you've done. U 2 are kindred spirits that's for sure. I can see in your art work!

For sure, Mutnik will be pleased with this whimsical scene. Good job on the checkered board Cathy is so famous for. Just a fun, fun card for Cathy and I know she is smiling over this one.
