Well dagnabit! It looks like Bertie led me astray for the tea party this week! She told me we were bringing grapes to todayÂ’s party.
When I came to upload my card, I read da MuddermarkÂ’s story that weÂ’re actually going to the Galapogos Islands in South America where we'll be riding giant tortoises and that weÂ’re to bring shoes for Flat Footed Booby Ruby (where does da Mudder come up with these names???). I was so upset with Bertie that I just wanted to throw my grapes away!! However, Bertie was very contrite and apologetic. SheÂ’s really gone out of her way to try to calm me down. She told me that itÂ’s actually a good thing that Booby Ruby is flat footed because her feet wonÂ’t fit in all those shoes the other tea partiers are bringing anyway and, furthermore, Booby RubyÂ’s flat feet will be perfect for smooshing grapes for wine! Bertie wanted to make it even more fun for us, so we took grape smooshing lessons with Lucy in Italy. You can see Bertie here in the vat with Lucy:
We had so much fun making that video with Lucy!
Now, weÂ’re off to the Galapogos Islands to join the other tea partiers, riding giant tortoises and flinginÂ’ grapes (and shoes) today! We hope youÂ’ll come join us!
Check out all the details in the Teapot Tuesday forum here:
See that button covered in fine yarn in the upper left corner? It is a button I discovered in an old sewing basket that had belonged to my mother-in-law. I found the basket in my closet. This part of my card is for an Inspiration challenge on Stamp TV. I added a purple rhinestone to the center of it.
After I colored and cut out my grapes, I stamped the image in Versamark and heat embossed with Glassy Glaze for a richer, shinier color.

Ah ha, the grapes of laugh. Hmmm, I sorta remember that as being called the grapes of wrath. Well you've surely brought the wrath and a darn good thing too, I must admit. Charlene, I couldnt even bring myself to go to youtube. I know that scene ever so well. That Lucy was somethin' else wasnt she?
Hey, do you suppose our Mudder is Lucy's offspring? Get back to me on that asap, please. Anyway, I'm with you: it's a darn good thing you came prepared because there's no way I could help you stomp those thousands and thousands of grapes the islands are reknown for producing. I drink the stuff, I dont stomp on it, silly girl. We need others to do the dirty work! Fabulous card, dahling!

Okay, there's the deal Charlene. Bertie sent me a pm last night and told he she was comin up with some cocklemanie (is that how you spell that?) story about pretending to be confused about what to bring to the teaparty this week. She told me that she purposely was gonna tell you that it was grapes for the sole purpose of flingin' em! So, I just want you to know...for future teaparties....don't trust Bertie. She is 100% flingin' obbsessed and will pretty much do anthing to find something gooey, juicy, and disgusting to fling at other teapartiers.
Okay, I must go now. I have to help Mothermark comment very nicely on all the wonderful cards in the gallery. Oh, and I will be serving tea and cookies today using my newly acquired skills in etiquette! Bertie is so outa control, you really should do something with her...do you want the phone number to the school of etiquette I attended?

Ever since I put that polka dotted bow in my hair, people think I am something to do with Lucy! Snort! Anne???? (Go figure!) Hee!
Charlene, Gertie just asked me permission (a first for her) to go play with some new friends she made who have a really fun new sport they have learned in Italy. She says its really a kick and very safe...and that someday it might be an Olympic event so she wants to learn all that she can. Do you know anything about that? Do you know if Bertie is involved because Gertie told me that Bertie is attending a School of Etiquette and is completely unavailable...(You need to give me that phone number so Gertie can get enrolled!)
This card rocks...and I shoulda known you would find a good use for Booby Ruby's flat feet! These grapes will make wonderful shoes and since Ruby hates her green feet, she will be tickled they will permanently be purple! Is that a coincidence that your favorite color is purple? This card rocks. Beautifully done and what a fun keepsake wrapped button that was hiding out in your closet!

Every tea party needs some wine (isn't that what I have been drinking each week?) and these grapes look like they are really ready to be stomped. I have actually stomped grapes in a Italian vineyard and it is great fun! Isn't that what this party is all about...fun, fun and more fun.
