I started out making this card for the CAS56 challenge to make a square care. Then, my good buddy, Benzi, just made the design team at StampinB where the challenge was to make a spring card, so I decided to combine the 2 challenges. I do realize it's a little less CAS than it should be; but, for me, it is a CAS card as I wanted to add so much more to it and had to stop myself. Hope it still qualifies.
The StampinB challenge can be found here if you want to join:
Congrats Benz for making the design team for StampinB and this card is to honor you.
.I found this beautiful paper, but mistakenly cut the parts with the name on it before I used it, so now I don't know what it's called. I paired it with ballet blue textured card stock and used my fleur de lis diecut for the framing.
.I then used certainly celery for the scallop circle nestie and ballet blue again for the circle nestie. I used one of my b/g stamps for the blue circle behind the bird with vines/branches.
.I used the SU 2-step bird punch for my little birdie. I used the pp for the main bird image making sure the blue dot was placed where his eye should be, then used certainly celery embossed with swiss dots for the wind. Popped up the bird on a dimensional in the center of the blue circle.
.I also popped up the die cut, scallop circle nestie and greeting on dimensionals.
.I added a MS punched flower (chrysantheme) in the right hand corner of the framing and topped it with a blue silk flower and brad.
.Added some ribbon and that was it.
Thanks SO MUCH for taking the time to look and have a wonderful weekend!

This is so adorable, Pam!! I just LOVE those colors and that beautiful DP with the subtle pattern. That fleur de lis die cut is so eye catching!! What a wonderful card to honor Benzi. And you did a great job of restraining your embellishing to classify this card as CAS ;)
