Today was just nonstop. I am trying to do all of the Flourishes Grand Opening Challenges this week, so I squeezed in this card between supper dishes, spelling word practice, baths, and bedtimes. I'm exhausted, so I'm heading to bed next and will comment in the morning.
This thank you card is for today's WT261, What's New?, a challenge to show how we're using any new goodies. It is also for FlourishesÂ’ Grand Opening Celebration Day 3 Challenge, to CASE a card made by a member of the Flourishes design team or Friends of Flourishes blog team.
New goodies I used:
--Crate Paper, Blue Hill Collection DP
--new PrismaColor Premier pencils (clearance bin at Michael's), my first Prismacolors
--new EK small scallop circle punch for paper flower
--new pearls
--new brown wrinkled ribbon (from Limelight Papercrafts)
--new pink burlap string (also from Limelight Papercrafts)
--previously uninked image from a relatively new stamp set
I also tried out a new-to-me technique: the gamsol technique (with brand spanking new blending stumps and bottle of odorless mineral spirits) to color my image. That was my first time, and I really like how it turned out!! I know what I'll be practicing (along with my watercoloring) over the weekend . . .
Thanks for looking!
Emily

Beautiful, Emily. I love your colouring - it's fabulous! And it's your first time using prismacolour pencils and the gamsol technique? You're a natural! I don't do colouring that often (I don't find it easy!) but once I tried this technique I didn't want to use anything else! I even sold my Promarkers on ebay so I could buy a range of coloured pencils!
