I made a larger card for my husband this year for Valentine's Day. I started with a 12"x12" sheet of black cardstock and folded it to make a 6"x12" card.
There are five different patterned print papers that I used for the background. The hearts and letters were made with the same five papers. I mounted the hand cut hearts on black cardstock and cut a border around them.
The letters are die cut with Sizzix Fun Serif Alphabet dies and the white border under the black strip is punched with a Stampin' Up Scallop Trim Border Punch.
The most difficult part of this card was getting the black and white strips of cardstock long enough since it is a large card. I had to cut diagonally through the middle of a sheet of 12"x12" piece of cardstock.
After making the card I made a treat topper for a large bag of Kisses. The background and heart are made from two of the same print papers used on the card. The wording is part of the Yummy stamp set from Stampin' Up and stamped with Stampin' Up White Craft Ink.
