This challenge involved using the rolling marble technique. TROUBLE from the get go. I couldn't find any marbles in this house although I know there are some, so I settled for some round beads in various sizes. Okay, so far so good, the clock is ticking. I decided to try some metallic Lumiere Ink that I have so I put a few drops of two different colors in the plastic box. Good, ...now to roll the beads, so far looking like it is supposed to according to the directions. I put the paper in and rolled the beads over it ....hmmm not exactly as I expected. First of all the olive totally dominated the turquoise and secondly I think this ink might just be a little thick as it tended to stick to the beads more than to roll onto the paper. However I did get different tracks so lets take the paper out and give it a go. OH OH, parts of the paper have stuck to the ink on the bottom of the tray and are ripping my paper. Alright the paper is rescued - now what do I do with it. I am definitely not crazy about what I am seeing and don`t quite know how to use it. Think, think, think, time is ticking. It kind of reminded me of looking through dense grass so I`ll put some flowers on it. I love my embossing folders so I thought I would emboss a grass design and then place the flowers on it. Once through the cuttlebug - disappointment - the embossing is kind of lost. Okay lets emboss it with a different folder, yikes this doesn't look any better. Desperation setting in - now what do I do with this paper - I know -I will put it through the wavy crimper, it can`t get any worse. Boy, I can still see parts of different folders. Alright paper -this is it! Through the crimper once again in the opposite direction. By now the paper, as you can imagine is no longer nice crisp card but rather like a worn out rag. Okay paper you win I guess I`ll skip this challenge for now and go to bed. If I have time later ( Like that`s going to happen) I`ll try again.
Fast forward to next morning.
Lets have another look at that piece of paper. It looks worn ..... so lets go that direction ... I tore the edges and added some ink to make it look DEstressed because something needed to be and it wasn't me. I stamped and embossed the dragonflies with black embossing powder then highlighted parts of them with gel pens and a pink copic marker, I then went over the wings with a Versamark pen and the colors ended up kind of blending together. Next I embossed the wings (no longer quite as distinct as they once were) with holographic ep. to try and give them that see through appearance. I decided at this point that cracked glass might look nice and since time was no longer an issue I cracked it (partly in an attempt to give my paper back some body). So that`s the story of the `crack pot` trying this new challenge. Now I do realize that an overnighter is in NO WAY 45 minutes, but after all that stressing I do like the end product and decided to post it anyway. Besides someone else may be up for a good laugh. Thanks for checking out the paper that almost beat me. Enjoy!

I love this. Your marbles or beads of different sizes did a great job. Love the old worn look too. What a great design for this awesome card. TFS :0)
