I started with birthday, using Forest Friends, saving Serene Spring for Easter, figured I have plenty of time to do Christmas cards later, didnÂ’t know when she would need the first birthday card. I thought the only birthday stamps I had was SUÂ’s On Your Birthday, Family Phrases, and For a Friend, so rather than make them all alike, I was going to wait and do the inside later, when I could look through my other stamps. Most of my SU sets were at the other house, but luckily I had moved a lot of my clear stamps down.
When you have tons of stamp sets itÂ’s hard to remember what is what. I have a notebook with a copy of each SU set, divided by Christmas, background, word sets, wheels, all the rest, another notebook with copies of all my other brand stamp sets, but guess where they wereÂ…Â….at the other house. So I looked through my clear sets, and low and behold found some others to use.
I completed eight cards for her, plus a ValentineÂ’s card that she didnÂ’t ask for. While doing her Valentine card, I decided I may as well make mine, and I had been itching to use that deer all along. This is the ValentineÂ’s card I made for my DH. Eventually we will be completely moved into our log cabin. We have been throwing corn out for the deer over on the side of the cabin, and watching them come in and eat, we both love to deer hunt. DonÂ’t worry, the only thing I have been shooting at these deer is my camera. They are truly amazing and fun to watch, as long as the squirrels and birds donÂ’t eat their food up first. My DH bagged his biggest buck (weight wise) this past hunting season. I figured I would tell him the card couldnÂ’t be any plainer in the truth, it was right there in black and white. Thanks for looking, and any comments.
