I love paper piecing, so when Holly gave us this challenge I was excited. After 8 inches of snow last night, I am really longing for Spring. I long to see green. I long to see flowers. I long to see butterflies. I am trying to be content with what I have now but it is hard. I made this card for the Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge to use time on our cards. We were reminded that like Ester that things happen in our lives for SUCH A TIME AS THIS.
So for today, I will stay warm inside and stamp and create spring cards.
To make the clock on my card, I used my Tim Holtz clock. I wanted it bigger, so I stamped it, then scanned it into my computer and enlarged it. I then printed the scripture over the clock.
To make my dogwood flowers, I used 4 different punches. I used the balloon punch for the petals. I used the small circle punch to punch the end of the petals. I used the small flower punch to make the base of the flower and I used the snowflake punch to make the centers of the flowers.
The flowers were made with white paper with a hint of pink with chalks. I used another of my layers of color butterflies.
