WOW! I have taken some time off from stamping and sewing to sort things out in my life. I just started back with back therapy and its driving me crazy, but it has to be done. And I have been doing alot of brisk walking/running around our lakes and trying not to let the geese get me frightened. That is my biggest fear is those GEESE that like to hang around. It's not like I carry food with me on my walks, but they seem to block me or run me down. I'm terrified of them. Have you been chased by geese before? Anyhow, its one day at a time for me for awhile, and I happened to be up when my favorite challenge came out...whoo who!
The Inspiration Challenge today is from the Lark stocks. They really have some neat things in there that are handmade, but I chose this puzzle. http://www.larkmade.com.au/products/...hapemaker.html. The 3rd one on the top row. I chose this particular one because of my adventure with all the geese on my walks, I love puzzles, and I love to quilt...fits perfectly for me.
I started out by using the square cb die cut folder on the cream and red squares. I trimmed some of the red squares to make the curve for the tail, body, and head. I used the oval punch for the ear and cut in half. I cut a small square of black into a diamond for the beak. The feet are also squares cut at an angle. I used the small oval punch for the corner and a circle punch for the eye. All punched out squares are on another piece of c/s behind them. This was easy peasy for me and it worked perfectly too. Thanks for dropping by! Have a great weekend!
What do you think?

Fabulous combo of the challenge and real life!! Very creative and colourful! Don't let those geese get the better of you - persevere! Although I don't blame your hesitance - they can be pretty big and scary!!
